We are happy to present the first version of a walkcycle for Charles, our protagonist. First step is done Dr. Frankenstein…he will be alive soon. The shading and texture is not final and we are still working on the blendshapes. And so it goes on and on and on…
To make certain shots more clear and to get a better feeling for the overall look of the scenery, we did some basic sketches that show key scenes and their location.

Experiments in color help us to find the proper color-scale for the different scenes. The mood changes over the time of day from morning to evening. We try different techniques, from plain graphite over pastels to water colors. So far, pastels provide the widest range to do the desired shadings and blends. Also, being able to add highlights in white and yellow on darker colors is somehow supportive – I’m used to it, since I’m used to drawing on the computer.
